Privacy Policy

Overview

RemoteConsole ("the app") is designed to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application.

Information Collected

We do not operate analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking, and no account registration is required. RemoteConsole is designed with privacy in mind:

• All connection credentials (hostnames, usernames, passwords, SSH keys) are stored locally on your device only, encrypted using your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). They are never transmitted to us.
• No advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-device tracking
• No account registration or sign-in is required

A small amount of data is processed by the limited third-party services below, only when you use the related features:

• Subscriptions. If you purchase RemoteConsole Pro, our payments provider RevenueCat processes your purchase and a pseudonymous app-user identifier to manage your subscription and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details; those are handled by Apple or Google.
• Optional voice control. If you enable voice commands, the text of what you say is sent to the AI provider you choose (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI) using your own API key, in order to turn it into a terminal command. We do not operate this service or retain that text; your use is governed by that provider's privacy policy.

Data Storage & Security

Your connection data is:

• Stored exclusively on your device
• Protected by your device's native security features (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode)
• Encrypted using industry-standard encryption provided by iOS Keychain and Android Keystore
• Never backed up to cloud services unless you explicitly enable device backups

Network Communications

By default the app communicates directly with the SSH servers you configure. All SSH connections are encrypted end-to-end using the SSH protocol.

When a direct connection isn't possible, you may opt to connect through the RemoteConsole relay (relay.remoteconsole.app), which forwards traffic between your device and the agent running on your computer. Because your SSH session is encrypted end-to-end, the relay only carries encrypted bytes and cannot read your terminal data, commands, or credentials. The relay does not store session content.

Third-Party Services

RemoteConsole does not integrate with any analytics services or advertising networks. The only third-party services involved are those described above, and only when you use the related feature: RevenueCat (subscription management), and the AI provider you select for optional voice control (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI), accessed with your own API key.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No information is knowingly collected from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
