File Browser — Filter, Favorites & Tabs

The SFTP file browser has been upgraded with three new capabilities that make navigating remote filesystems faster and more organised.

Real-time filter

A search bar now appears below the breadcrumb on the Files tab. Start typing and the list narrows instantly to matching file and folder names. No round-trip to the server is needed — filtering happens locally on the files already loaded. Tap the × button to clear the filter and show the full directory again.

Favorites

Any directory can now be bookmarked with a single tap. Tap the ☆ star icon on the right side of a folder row to add it to your favourites. The star turns amber to confirm. Tap it again to remove the bookmark. Favourites are saved to the device and persist across app restarts.

Files / Favorites tabs

The file browser now has two tabs in the app bar:

  • Files — the existing directory browser, now with the filter bar and star icons.
  • Favorites — a flat list of all bookmarked directories. Tap any entry to jump straight to that directory in the Files tab. Tap the trash icon to remove a bookmark.

Keyboard Toolbar — Custom Key Collections

The keyboard toolbar now supports Custom Key Collections: user-defined shortcut tabs that sit alongside the built-in tabs (Ess, Ctrl, Sym, Vim, tmux, Cmd, Fn).

Each collection becomes its own tab chip. You can add any combination of preset key sequences (Escape, Tab, Ctrl combinations, function keys) and arbitrary text snippets. Text keys can optionally send Enter automatically, turning them into one-tap command runners. Collections are reorderable and persist across restarts.

Freemium model with in-app purchases

RemoteConsoleSSH moved to a freemium model. The free tier supports up to two SSH connections with full SFTP file management. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited connections and voice commands. Existing users who connected before this release retain full access.

In-app purchases are handled through RevenueCat and are available on iOS and Android. The web version is unaffected.
